PROTEST

If it is decided to carry out this scheme then it is imperative that the Secretary of State is made aware of the numerous opinions against it. It is for this purpose that a petition is being organised NOW before it is too late to do anything more about it.

If you feel the proposals will be detrimental to the tourist industry and enjoyment of all those who presently use the area for recreation, or will use it in the future, then please print out the form below and send it or e-mail it (cut and paste) to SAVE PENWITH MOORS,

Men-an-Tol Studio, Bosullow, Penzance, Cornwall, TR20 8NR.

e-mail:
info@savepenwithmoors.com

For SUBJECT on e-mail submissions please put NINE MAIDENS COMMON to avoid it getting lost in the mass of spam.

Petitions will be forwarded to The Secretary of State for the Environment if the proposals are accepted by the commoners and Heath Project.

YOU CAN PRINT THIS PETITION AS IT IS AND THEN SIGN IT OR YOU CAN DOWNLOAD IT AND PRINT IT FROM THE LINK AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE

I urge the Secretary of State for the Environment to totally reject the proposals submitted by NATURAL ENGLAND, THE HEATH PROJECT, in conjunction with the Nine Maidens commoners, to ‘manage’ the Nine Maidens Common, Boskednan, near Newmill, Penzance, Cornwall, that will involve the erection of fences and gates to contain a herd of cattle that will, inevitably, intimidate and deter walkers and horse riders in one of the few remaining unspoilt wild areas in the Land’s End Peninsula. Use as a public amenity far outweighs any need for management.
